Please join me in welcoming the newest member to our Rawlings Star Family Charlie Carpenter.

Charlie has agreed to assist with our players through private lessons, and on field coaching at our practices when he is available outside of his work obligations.

Charlie brings with him the knowledge , and experience of being a Division 1 athlete, getting his degree, while also having the experience of going through the MLB Draft process.

From the USC Upstate website in 48 games played during Charlie’s Junior Season he hit for an average of .357 11 HR’s 46 RBI’s and 38 runs scored.

Charlie has pitched, played 1st, caught, and been a DH during his career, and was an instant hit to the players at last night’s practice.

Having been around this game for almost 31 years, Charlie really impressed me last night. I am grateful for any help he can give, and I encourage each of you watch the youtube video of his walk off grandslam against Wofford, and to welcome him to the program in the comments on this post.
